If you drop a course that is a prerequisite for another course and thereby delay your graduation from USL by one semester, how much does the course that you dropped end up costing you?

If you drop a course that is required for your degree program (and, of course, have to retake that course later in your college career), how many times do you effectively take that course? Does this then indicate that you like that course more than other courses that you complete the first time that you take them?
